Tom Lin, well-known owner of Szechuan Empire(s) and Lei Ting Chinese Cuisine, has partnered with a pair of brothers who have many years of restaurant experience. Poonsak Sookthis and his brother Toysak, together with Lin, present a restaurant with appealing food and distinguished ambiance.

Conveniently located near I-275 at the intersection of Newburgh Road and Six Mile Road in Livonia, Thai Basil offers an extensive menu of noodle dishes, curries, vegetarian, and stir fries. Classic dishes include Thai lemongrass and mushroom soup, Pad Thai, and Drunken Noodles.

With handsome furnishings, table linens and well-chosen art work, this fine restaurant even offers a wide variety of Sushi from the seven-seat Sushi bar at the back of the room. The courteous staff, a cozy cocktail lounge, and soothing terra-cotta and soft blue/green colors make this a perfect place for a romantic dinner or just right for the whole family.
